Blogs.

March 9, 2009 at 1:35 pm (Uncategorized)

Wow, it feels like it has been ages since I last posted here.

Since January, I’ve set up quite a few new blogs, and (as you can see) have abanonded this one in favour of the newer blogs.

As I mentioned in my previous post I now have a Livejournal, where I post more journal-esque posts.

I also have a blog on tumblr that I frequently update with quotations, pictures, videos, and the like.

I created another WordPress blog for general blogging; it can be found here.

Best wishes!

LiveJournal

January 2, 2009 at 3:23 pm (Uncategorized)

A few days ago I got a LiveJournal, and so far I like it much better than WordPress. Subsequently, I think I’m going to be updating that journal a lot more. So, here is a link to my LiveJournal (again):

That’s all for now!

Livejournal!

December 30, 2008 at 1:32 am (Uncategorized)

Soo, I made a LiveJournal:

maddyluna.livejournal.com

I’m going to keep up an actual journal, of sorts, on there.

I will continue to post random ramblings on here, and I imagine I’ll still be posting on here far more often than LJ.

Anyway, that’s all for now!

Best wishes!

Awful sweet to be a little butterfly, just winging over things, and nothing deep inside…

December 29, 2008 at 9:11 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , )

I am bored, bored, bored.

So, I decided to blog. Story of my life. Haha.

I know I mentioned this yesterday, but seriously, I can’t believe I never listened to the entire Spring Awakening soundtrack before. Seriously. It is brilliant. “Don’t Do Sadness/ Blue Wind” is my new favourite song from the show.

Also, I received a Holiday Cheer card from Maureen Johnson, one of my favourite authors, today. I started jumping up and down when I got it, I was so excited. I just think it was so kind of her to personally send out signed cards to so many fans.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about my NaNoWriMo novel a lot in the past few days. When I finished, I made the decision to let it sit for a month before I go in an edit it, and I’m really glad I decided to do that. It will be good to go into editing with fresh eyes; also, I’ve gained a lot of new ideas as to the direction I want my story to take. I’m really excited to start working on it again.

Where is that old friend gone? Lost in a February’s song….

December 29, 2008 at 11:41 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

Soo seeing as today is the first day of my winter break (well, technically Christmas Eve was, but I was away from Christmas Eve until yesterday, so it feels like today is the first day, sort of) I have lots that I want to do.

First, I’d like to go to Wal-Mart and buy Regina Spektor’s new CD.

Also, I would really love to go ice skating.skates2

Side note: It looks more like Spring break than Winter break right now. Sigh. Aaalso, I bought Josh Groban’s first CD the other day. I liked it well enough; however, I like his newer CDs better. His voice has definitely gotten stronger over the years. Here is a link to a video for one of my favourite Josh Groban songs, “February Song”:

And another thing, I love the song “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. If you’ve never heard it, you should listen to it right now:

They made a statue of us & put it on a mountain top…

December 29, 2008 at 12:38 am (Uncategorized) (, , )

Haha, wow…this is my… sixth post today. I have no life. Ha.

I need to clean my room (what else is new?).

I (finally) bought the Spring Awakening CD and (finally) listened to the entire thing. It was amazing. Seriously, I don’t know why I never listened to it in its entirety before. You really can’t appreciate the songs without listening to the soundtrack as a whole. The harmonies are incredible; the OBC was so talented. I really hope I will be able to see the touring cast in May.

Anyway, I think I’m going to go clean off the cookie crumbs and orange peels off of my bed, and then write in that journal I mentioned in a previous post while I watch my new ‘Pride & Prejudice’ DVD.

That’s all for now.

Best Wishes!

xo, Maddy

This is how it works: you’re young until you’re not, you love until you don’t, you try until you can’t, you laugh until you cry, you cry until you laugh, & everyone must breathe until their dying breath.

So far I have really liked WordPress; however, one thing that makes me miss my old Blogspot & Livejournal blogs is the lack of customization. There are some neat looking layouts, but you cannot edit the HTML code, so you can only choose from WordPress’ themes, which is frustrating. I like my layout now well enough, but I don’t know, it just feels a bit bland to me. I would seriously consider returning to Blogspot or Livejournal for this very reason. The design is a very important element of a blog. However, I already have quite a few posts on here–nearly six months worth–which is more than I’ve ever had on any other blog. So perhaps I will stick with the old WordPress. Still, I wish I could customize my layout more.

Suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall…

December 28, 2008 at 11:34 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , )

Sooo, as I mentioned in a previous post, I got a new camera for Christmas. I’ve had about ten thousand video ideas floating around in my head for the past few months, and I was really excited to finally be able to make some–however, I was stupid enough to leave my camera chord at my aunt’s house. She was kind enough to mail it to me, so I should be getting it in the mail in a couple of days. Though I am bummed, but I am grateful that my aunt is nice enough to mail it to me. Besides, it was my own fault so I’m not going to complain.

In other newwws, my mom put this humongous orange in my Christmas stocking. I am eating it now, and I still can’t fathom how large it is. Seriously, it’s the size of a grapefruit, if not bigger.

Also, I’m listening to Regina Spektor, and thinking about possibly writing in the lovely new journal my Nana got me for Christmas. I never like to write in nice looking journals, because I feel like I ruin them with my messy handwriting and scribbled out sentences and ten page long ramblings. But then again, what are journals for? It’s just a waste if you don’t use them, so I suppose I might actually write in this one. Maybe. Ha.

Oh dear, I’ve eating about a half a tin of Pirouette chocolate hazelnut wafer cookies, and now my stomach hurts a bit.

11:29 PM?! How did that happen?! Wow, last I checked it was 9 PM. Funny how the internet eats time like that. Haha.

Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, I’m listening to Regina Spektor–specifically, the song “The Call” from the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It’s such a beautiful song; I have to share it with you:

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word

And then that word grew louder and louder
‘Til it was a battle cry

I’ll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye

Just because everything’s changing
Doesn’t mean it’s never
Been this way before

All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are
As you head off to the war

Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light

You’ll come back
When it’s over
No need to say good bye

You’ll come back
When it’s over
No need to say good bye

Now we’re back to the beginning
It’s just a feeling and now one knows yet
But just because they can’t feel it too
Doesn’t mean that you have to forget

Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
‘Til they’re before your eyes

You’ll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye

You’ll come back
When they call you

No need to say good bye…
